One thin sliver of green
fluttering in the wind
barely whispering
But when all the
leaves chorus together
A joyous storm results

We can have all the knowledge in the universe, but it still comes down to only one thing - practice. (Crescent Moon Bear Fable, as recounted by C.P. Estes)

Lovely poem. together, we can make a noise, send a message into the skies. Love your quote in your banner too.
Yes!
lovely rhythm..."leaves chorus together"..what a wonderful sound!
Wow. You have real talent honour and and i wish you all success with your writing.
It made me think of the concrete playground where the leaves used to gather and swirl in the corners when i was a kid xx
I love this, Honour! We planted an aspen tree in our side yard nine years ago and it now provides the most beautiful summer .... chorus! You gave me the word to describe our beautiful tree. (It has produced another younger tree a few feet from it that we let grow last year. The baby is now taller than me and has joined the symphony. What to do...there really isn't room in this section of yard to allow it to stay, or is there? Maybe allowing what is to just simply be will make a nice natural canopy in the years to come.)
oh gosh... so this is your love of community...
fabulous piece of music... gorgeous painting... just by words... you ARE a poet...
Suki - so very true ! again, a lesson we learn from mother nature.
Michael - in solidarity :)
akula - glad you heard the chorus on your own camping trip
DFTP - you are too kind! yes, we had that swirl too in my playground growing up.
